He wouldn't dry up until he was dead, trust me on that one. He has been insecure as long as we know him, to the point of controlling his wife, and calling our house to make sure that she actually visited us.

Then, pray for patience and pour lots of your hot sauce in his meals.

Being gay and an attorney, I have come across similar problems. Some aquaintances (I don't know that I would call them friends) but no relatives, seem to feel that the thing to do is to tell jokes about gays or lawyers, some of which have a greater or lesser degree of hostility in them, or to sometimes make quite thoughtless comments. I usually respond by telling them the truth about how their comments make me feel, that I don't find that amusing, that in fact I find it offensive, and that if they want to remain my friend, they won't say things like that. It usually works. An apology is usually forthcoming. If they continue, I drop them.

I don't know what I would do about a relative, but because you are related to a person doesn't mean that you have to speak to them, if you can't do so with equanimity.

Would be a big collection. Gota be in the 50's or 60's fopr size. He ballooned after he fell out of a pickup truck. Its hard to convey just the kind of slime he is, really. A few people here give him to much credit. He once went through about a job every other week for a while, never got his GED, but tells his employers that he did.

My mother always told me " consider the source". The man sounds pitiful, homophobic, and jealous. And pity your poor sister, what a prize she has. What he needs is a sound thrashing with an organic leek.
