Watched an episode on cable last night, Feargal the new Sports instructor makes his debut much to the dislike of Gollie who was wearing his kilt for his interview, but Duncan was in trousers for his interview for the post, Archie as usual was'nt kilted. Hector wore his kilt in one scene.
Good Story with Hector and Kilwillie trying to hide a barrell of a 30 year old malt from Archie

Having seen all 7 series of this show, I do solemnly pledge to not give away the ending, thereby ruining the experience for those who are just beginning to watch.

I watched the same episode. Poor Kilwillie paid £15000 for the barrel and then they had a wee dram to find that it had "gone off" and tasted foul!

I didn't know that it could "go off" even after 30 years in the cask, even allowing for the "angels share."

My all-time favourite episode features Red Bonnet and the Pike, although the one where Gollie quotes the great Celtic philospher Val Doonican isnae bad either...

time to wake up this sleepy thread

I've been enjoying this series on Netflix for several months now, I am just about done with season 7. To me it's nice that the treat kilts as integral but nothing special, some folks wear them, some don't but its always natural wherever they appear.

beliotpipper, you are watching the best three series' of the show. It starts to go down hill in the middle of the fourth. I won't tell you why, but a most disagreeable man will eventually show up who is most unlikable. No, it isn't me.

I love the episode where Gollie explains how he got his nickname.
