a bit of a drive but not too bad. Can use the excuse to visit the uncle up in Daytona.

I believe Sebring was selected because it was central for all who wanted to gather. We have kilters from the extreme West coast, the South, North, and East, that's why Sebring. It didn't favor anyone. Nice and central!
We just need to decide on the date and time. The third week-end of May sounds good for us!

A little bit further than Sebring there is a Tilted Kilt in Orlando...

That I did not know. I will have to look up the address and pay them a visit real soon.

Sorry, I did not mean to divert us from Sebring. I was thinking north-south distance, and neglected to also think about the east-west distance.
The problem is, I know of nowhere in Sebring that would be appropriate for our gathering.
Does anyone else know of a good place to get together in Sebring?

A bit east of Sebring is Okechobee, which might have more available to us to work with.

I'm game ... anyone know a place that would be good in Sebring OR Okechobee?

Ok, nothing great in Sebring unless the standard Friday's, Outback etc. There are two Irish Pubs in Orlando that I think will work well and have good reviews. The Harp and Celt and Claddagh Cottage Irish Pub. I think both are related.

Well, as we come upon the third weekend in May, I find myself unavailable. My son's soccer team switched tournaments, and instead of playing Memorial Day weekend, he's playing the third weekend of May.
So to toss in my two cents ...
Sebring doesn't seem to be working. A couple of folks from outside the Orlando area have suggested Orlando-area locations, and others seem amenable to that. I'd suggest we try to get together in the Orlando area, and I'm fine if you do it this weekend without me, or if we shoot for a future weekend.
Perhaps I ought to start a new thread, even, for an Orlando area kilt night the last weekend in May.
What do you think?
