Sports Cars Vs Kilts

If I'm not mistaken I think an MR2 won the national championship in SCCA class E Stock in 2008. It most definitely IS a sports car!

I wouldn't doubt this at all. I believe the car you're talking about is a 2nd generation NA MR2. Mine weighs about 500 lbs less than that car and is supercharged , so I'll be in CS with it. Me and the newer Miatas. I may end up in CSP, depending on how long I can hold off the mod bug.

Good to see all the sports car enthusiasm on this board! Bob and I met, and re-met, courtesy of the Long Beach MG Club and more specifically their flag team (corner workers and related tasks). Our move to San Diego has cut down on involvement but at one time I was working up to 18 races a year, supporting two vintage road race sanctioning bodies here on the west coast. Personally I'd rather autocross than road race, but being trackside for the folks who keep those great cars running in the manner intended. . . priceless!
