Funny thing this forum...
When I'm offline, I just keep on thinking about you people and wondering how you are all doing, what you are all doing, what you are all wearing and what kind of posts I will get to read when I log on...
I guess I'm saying that you are already in my thoughts...
And you are right on one thing, this does feel like an extended familly...

Best wishes from Scotland. I will pray to God to give you the strength to overcome what you need to do and the serenity to accept what cannot be changed. It seems life is never easy. My wife is seriously disabled following a series of strokes, I have her home now for a few weeks from residential nursing care and will need to see how things work out or whether she will need to go into permanent residential care. My daughter developed bipolar disorder and lives as a recluse, I have not seen her for five years. The rest of my family are in Canada, so I can empathise with how you feel isolated in a foreign land far from the dear ones who could best support you. That's what we are here for, an x-marks family, a problem shared is a problem halved.

I'm joining my prayers with those already offered for a solution to this problem, the wisdom to recognize the solution, and the courage to implement it.
*By the way, this thread has reminded me that while we may argue and fight over hose color or styles of jackets, when one of us is down, we drop all the petty disagreements and "circle the wagons" around the one who needs us. And, some of us pray, some think positive thoughts, some send up smoke, and others generate good vibes, but we all, in our own way, support and try to help each other when we're down. Guid on us!
*no threadjacking intended

Thanks for the show of support, everyone. Just wanted to post a quick update. Things are still very rough, although it's improved to the point that I can function (i.e. get through my daily obligations without wishing I could break something in anger). My wife is still also in a bad way, but a little (wee bit) better this morning.
For the record, the issue is not between us. We are not angry at each other, but we share a common burden in this struggle we are currently facing. It may yet take some time to resolve, however, and I'm still praying that God gives me the wherewithal to get through it.

We hear you brother, we hear you. You and yours are in my thoughts and prayers. Goodness knows life can be challenging, I am going through a spell right now, so you are not alone. Please know that your "family" and "clan" are pulling for you.
Namaste
