I am freaking annoyed
...with blowing the weight over the bar like it's a piece of toast at 11 feet.
And going semi-easy and still clearing 12 feet every time...
..but going full-gas and coming up an inch, at most two inches short of clearing 13. Dunsmuir was the third Games in a row where the handle just *barely* tipped the bar off, at 13 feet.
..and so....
I am back in the gym three times a week for the next two weeks before the Claw. I'll knock off on Wednesday.
I'm doing single-arm dumbell snatches with 50 pounds, 3 sets of eight, each side...I will move up to 60 pounds next week. Lots of drive with the legs here, and full range of motion. I'm reaching for the sky with that dumbell.
I'm doing two-hand low cable pull-throughs on the floor, 3 sets of 7 with 80 pounds..

and then putting up a pylo box in front of the cable pulley so that I'm about 20 inches above the floor, so that I can get a full range pull from deep to chest high without crushing the tender bits. I'm doing 3 sets of 7 with 35 pounds and pulling FAST.
Hopefully by the Claw, this will give me the power and explosion for that one-two more inches i need, and 13 feet will be MINE.
