    Thanks again everyone for all the encouraging words! JRB, antler has lots of natural contours that accommodate ergonomic fit. Combine that with the excellent tactile surfacing offered by the bumps and ridges and you have the makings of a perfect handle material. I have a date with a pile of old/damaged bayonets this weekend. With any luck, something will be forthcoming!
