    Oh my - do let me know when it is safe to lower my fan, gentlemen.

    I think that the nontubular aspect of the kilt is perhaps not emphasised enough.

    Although there might well be at least one seam along the length of the kilt, the edges are usually overlapped and posibly held closed by some means, but the kilt can be unwrapped.
