Hey Drac, welcome to the forum.
I can attest to Drac's knife making abilities as I am the proud owner of the first knife in the pics. Drac very generously donated it to our clan to be used as first prize for a fund raising drawing for one of our projects and I was very fortunate to be the winner. I wear it proudly with some of my dressier outfits (it has another sheath so it can be worn in hose). First rate workmanship!
Drac, if you have the time you should explain the origins of the wood you used for the handle - fascinating.

I didn't think about the fact there might be some more Lamonts lurking around here.
The wood he mentioned is kuri. It is from trees that are at least 50,000 years old. They are found in the peat bogs in New Zealand. If you would like to check it out here's the site:
