Since the sett is described by the number of yarns of one color, then the next, if a tartan in 10 oz fabric has a 4" sett the same tartan in 16 oz fabric will likely be over 6".

Robert, Grant's favored prey is la femme qui soulève des kilts (I think that is the correct translation ). He has not quite grasped the concept that they hunt us, not the other way around.
Having looked at your pictures here and on Lady Chrystel's website, I need to think about sending her some Sackett tartan in poly-viscose.

Thanks for that. Might make sense to use a lighter weight for the smaller set for a garment like this, IDK.
