Alan I fully understand and support this discision. As Ratty said:

"There is nothing, absolutely nothing, half so much worth doing than simply messing around in boats. Simply messing."

Might I also suggest a name as every boat deserves a name? I see Sleekit Badger as you've always reminded me of that particular charactor and well you're a sly one Mr. Hales.

Oh, she has a name already. "Vingilothiel"....daughter of Vingilot. Now, that's a spiffy piece of Tolkien trivia for you..

Lovely boat - only thing is it really should be bigger - with a swan prow and a mast - maybe two, and a cabin - because there is always so much horizon when you stand on the shore and remember the moment when the short chop of the channel becomes the long slow roll of the ocean.

When one has made kilts what is there to top it than to make boats?

If you would like a destination for a shake down cruise, there is a lovely little cove on the island of Moorea that I can recommend.

so, Alan, knife pleats? to the sett or to the stripe? 33 pleats - wow! that really IS gonna be a "tank"! Should keep you in shape, just lifting it, to put it on!

Knife pleats, to the stripe. After folding and pleating and re-pleating to the sett, I just got annoyed at the complexity on this one and decided to pleat to the stripe. It's coming along well, albeit slowly.
