Hose a little father down? Alright, I'll give it a shot and see how that looks.

Thanks. I was kind of on the fence as to spending the extra money for the nice hose and garter ties. Given that I was already buying a custom kilt, I decided to go for it. Now that I have them, I have to say that they area absolutely worth the extra money. The ties in particular are worth the money because they're not all that much more expensive than regular flashes (actually less than tartan flashes) and look quite a bit better.

Thanks again to everyone for all the positive comments.

Those hose and flashes definitely give it a properly finished look! x2 on bringing the top of the socks down...gotta show some leg, yanno .

...I really like the pattern on the hose. Hadn't seen that style before. Where'd you get them?

The hose I picked up at the Scottish Tartan Museum a couple of weeks back (link). IMHO, they're well worth the extra money.

    Elliott,

Sorry I missed this thread till now. The new kilt looks great on you, and I'm glad you went with the brown hose. I think brown hose really compliment that particular tartan. Wear it in good health!

Yep. Now you know what a kilt and hose are supposed to feel like.
And Guilford County has a large upswelling of thankfulness this season.
    Congrats on the acquisitions.
