That is an Irish Terrier Sir. Rather fitting that the Irish National Tartan is being worn whilst showing an Irish bred breed. IHMO

I am surprised how short its hair is cut, but I don't know much about their grooming for the show ring.
I had said that it must be a puli, since I had gone to the website for the show and looked in the group I assumed would cover retrievers. There I saw a puli, which fits the description given by the earlier poster to a T. The dog in the photo is not a puli, nor is it a komondor, which is a white version of the puli.

My own best guess is that it is an Old English Sheepdog.

Komondors are about 100 pounds. Pulis are more like 25 or 30 pounds. The coat of an OES is fuzzy, not ropey in the show ring, with a grey body and white head.

All of the above are herding dogs, not retrievers, of course. While I am a bit of a herding dog enthusiast, I have never seen a komondor at a dog show.

So, we have an unidentified kilt with an unidentified dog.

I found videos of the individual contests. I stand corrected! It is indeed a komondor. just one with a cut the likes of which I have never seen before.

    Nagyszerű!

I stand corrected on the Irish Tartan (pointing at wife and ducking) That's what she told me. LOL! My lovely wife says if I keep getting her to describe tartan to me she'll soon become an expert.

I think the show was quite enjoyable and the fact that the little Scottie won Best in Show was the cherry on the sundae for me. I keep hoping though that one day my favorite breed the West Highland Terrier will win the Best In Show rank.
