Those are glorious photos.
Rest assured, Jock, that if we make our planned trip next year, I shall request a bit of your time over a wee dram at the pub of your choosing. I would hope that Darkislander is close enough to join in.

No, not yet. I'm also finding with the cost of fuel now that I'm not taking as many days out as I used to. My car is a 2 ltr Gti and hope to get something more economical next year. Boy racer days are over !

That would be nice, but I'm not that close - well to us anyway - to you folks it's just next door. We don't really get the perspective like you until we visit the likes of Canada, Australia, and the USA which I have done, and travel for miles on just road. Certainly changed things for me.
