If all of the ice in the Arctic ocean melted, our average ocean levels would FALL slightly.
If all the polar ice caps, north & south melted, we would have massive rains all over the earth and only slightly higher ocean levels. A foot maybe. BUT, the tides would increase substantially!

I filled a LARGE open top tank with water, marked the height and froze the water. The level rose significantly. Upon thawing the level was lower than the original depth. Evaporation took some volume from the total amount.
It's time to party in case there isn't enough ice for the drinks by morning.:beer:
