It's good to hear you are safe and warm,
hamish. Here in Atlanta, on about 1/2 inch of now and some ice, they've close the schools. Being from chicago I always find this odd, but the main concern is not the depth of snow but the hills with curves at the bottom, ice, Atlanta drivers with little winter driving experience, and school buses - not a good combination.

Glad to hear from you, Hamish. Take care of yourself...and stay off the ice! That's where the real trouble can start.

    Cheers,

Well Ingemar, I live in Houston, TX, and comparatively speaking, we have it pretty good here in regard to winter weather. However, 26F is colder than what we are used to. There were lots of weather warnings about insulating exposed water pipes and reports on shelters for the homeless. I had to take my car to the shop at 7am this morning, but I was quite toasty in my thick peacoat, MacIntyre tartan muffler and wool FLATCAP.

    Archipelago.

    Hi Friends!

I personally plan for a day in the archipelago of Gothenburg tomorrow to see where the ice is and so on.

    Greetings

    Ingemar
