Would YOU wear another "clan's" tartan?

    Hi guys.
I'm very curious as to what you all find appropriate as to clan relations (or not) and tartans?

I've made a wee poll on the thread as polls have always helped me get a good idea of the general feelings on the forum. I'd appreciate if you could vote on it and perhaps even leave a reply with your views on whether you wear only clan tartans of those within certain aspects of your bloodline, or if you would wear any clan tartan affiliated with any surname in your family tree, or finally if you wear any clan tartans for any other reasons such as you like the tartan's colours or sett.

Personally, I have a couple of kilts in clan tartans to which I have no known affiliation to simply because I like the tartans. One of them is actually my girlfriend's clan tartan - Robertson and I bought it because it's such a beautiful tartan. My dad is called Robert, though

Also... as a side comment; how do you feel about corporation tartans, and if corporations using a clan tartan in company use?

Thanks for your opinions (which I'm sure will follow!),
    Paul

It is in truth not for glory, nor riches, nor honours that we are fighting, but for freedom -- for that alone, which no honest man gives up but with life itself.
