I live just outside of stumblin' distance from the Trinity Hall on Mockingbird. Love the place! Unfortunately, going to Allen would be a far shot away from finding anything resembling a mid-point for us scattered around the metroplex as we are
I'd definitely be up for a gathering up there at some point, though.

Wish I would've caught this sooner. This would've been my vote.

I'm about as unlikely to travel to the east side of the Metroplex as others from that area are to come to Fort Worth. The traffic is a definite headache! No, somewhere in the middle like Grapevine or Arlington, or just east/west of there is the way to go for optimum attendance.
Are people bringing their spouses/partners/dates/anyone they can pick up on the side of the road?

If anyone knows a spot in the midcities that is a better venue than the Tilted Kilt, I'm all ears. I just don't know the area.

There are a couple of Trinity Halls. One in Dallas and one in Allen.

Having just moved to Arlington, I've been told there are some Irish-type pubs around here (at least in name). I will check these out and post the names and what I've heard about them. ith:

I am currently home from Iraq on R&R, and would LOVE a kilt night! Have a brand new kilt in Lamont Ancient i can show off! We just need to decide on a venue. Anywhere that does NOT have sand will be fine w/ me!
"My beloved America, thank you for your children. If your children want to become soldiers I will train them. When they are hungry I will feed them. When they are thirsty I will give them water. When they fight for freedom I will lead them. When they are unsteady on the battlefield I will motivate them. If they die on the battlefield I will bury them. So help me God."

So, here's the Arlington list and comments so far:
- Hooligan's (no comments/reviews)
- JJ Gilligans (Irish pub but college crowd, usually packed)
- JR Bentleys (British)
- The Plaza Pub (has Irish sessions)
- Fox & Hound
- Black Finn's (Irish in name only-yuppie club)

J Gilligan's has sessions on Tuesday nights (around 7pm or later depending when others start strolling in, until about 10 or 11pm or so).

Fox and Hound in Ft. Worth is a pretty good place to be.
Flying Saucer is great if you like beer.
Not much going on in Arlington but Ft. Worth is very close.
