Thanks.
They used to sing Oh Christmas Tree Oh Christmas Tree when I was in Class A uniform. Days of very happy memory.

Hello all scouted, kilted rabble. Currently a scoutmaster, I'm surprised that you Eagles don't recall the exact date of your Eagle BOR. My oldest son became an Eagle 11-19-03, my other son made it to Life. I used to be a Buffalo NE-II-147 -I bet there's no more Buffalos out there.

Eagle Scout, class of 1994 (my ceremony was actually just after my 18th birthday -- I had everything done except my BOR until the very last moment). As wonderful as scouting was to me, I hope that by the time I have children ready to be involved there have been some changes at the national level. Regardless, I am very proud of the work I did through scouting.
Cheers

Ne-v-60
Was home today and fund a trivet my Dad had from his WB course. He used to be an Eagle NE-V-60...forgot to mention my nephew made Eagle too, from my old Troop, 462, Our Lady of Fatima Church, Aliquippa, PA.

Why do you say? I truthfully don't remember it at all. I know I did one, but that's about it. I remember doing my Eagle Service Project. I remember my award ceremony in June of the following year. It was a long time ago and there have been so many other memorable experiences in my life. I can honestly say that a Board of Review is not one of those.

I remember my Board of Review date because they asked what important event happened that day. Jan 20, 1969.

Exactly. As way of example, one of the last questions is always, "what do the numbers one, twenty and sixty-nine mean?" The astute scout usually answers, "why that's today's date." And the response, "that's the date you can say you earned your Eagle rank -congratulations."
Anyways, congratulations to all you Eagles and all who were scouts and those involved in the scouting program. It's a fun adventure.

I've never heard that question before either.
The last question at mine was: "Are you an Eagle Scout?" Of course, my answer was unhesitatingly, "Yes sir!". The Board's Chairman gave a little grin and said "Good answer! You're right. Congratulations!" I don't remember much else about that evening, but I do remember that.
