Yes: if anyone was wondering, those teeth and some bodacious jaw musculature are why we don't want to tangle with Mr. Beaver.

I couldn't guess as to its weight, but when I was a boy I once saw a beaver five feet long. I was glad that we didn't go near that branch of French Creek very often.
Then again, there's a 'silverback' woodchuck on my parents' property that's two feet tall. That is - when he sits upright, the top of his head is two feet off the ground. We nicknamed him "Sasquatch."

I think that some of these folks may just owe gambling debts. Does anybody else remember the beaver mob boss from Dr Doolittle 2?
I'm sorry, I misspoke. He was just a "simple fisherman who's blessed with many friends".

Gosh, darn it! I've been trying to link Space's 'When Animals Attack' Promo. Can't get it to play. Anyway, here's a link, maybe it'll work for you:

It has to be asked: what is 'the old fashioned way?' Anthill? Never worked for me, perhaps Canadian ants are too lazy or our scavangers are too quick. Or my mom saw what I was up to.

I just love Canuck in NI’s response: “Two words: Bottle Opener.”
And next? Are we going to see Beware of the beaver signs?
And will anyone dare to put one up around someone wearing a full mask sporran?
And it looks as though the Chattahoochee tartan will be recommended with one of those full masks.

The lesson I draw from this thread is: "Don't wear your full mask beaver sporran in the woods." Oh the ferocity...
"Before two notes of the theme were played, Colin knew it was Patrick Mor MacCrimmon's 'Lament for the Children'...Sad seven times--ah, Patrick MacCrimmon of the seven dead sons....'It's a hard tune, that', said old Angus. Hard on the piper; hard on them all; hard on the world." Butcher's Broom, by Neil Gunn, 1994 Walker & Co, NY, p. 397-8.
