Yes. The raffle is good for any stock supported tartan, and plans are in place currently to have the tartan woven in 16 oz kilt weight, so that would be very much possible.

Hmmmm..is it me, or is the added 'difficulty' actually making this even MORE tempting( as if it could be)?

    Hey Matt,
I just tried to buy raffle tickets on the site, but it didn't direct me to a payment method.

No, it wouldn't. Because we cannot sell raffle tickets directly through PayPal, when you fill in the raffle form, we receive an email telling us who you are and how many tickets you want, plus whether you prefer to be contacted by email or phone. We will then either call or email you regarding payment to complete the transaction.

I know it's a little troublesome but it's unfortunately the way we have to do it because of PayPal restrictions.

If you have any trouble, just call up the museum and we can of course take care of you on the phone.

How bout just closing this thread. I suppose this will be the only way I will ever have REAL kilt, or atleast one of this quality.

I know it is for a good reason and I have been to the museum myself. But I sure wish y'all would quit buying. HAahhahahahaha.

Not to get off topic, but hopefully to offer support to a fellow kiltie: There are a few kiltmakers who will accept payment on an installment plan, though usually no work is initiated 'till payment is received in full.

All the same, I wouldn't feel badly if you won, even though I'd love to have one of Barb's masterpieces!
EPITAPH: Decades from now, no one will know what my bank balance looked like, it won't matter to anyone what kind of car I drove, nor will anyone care what sort of house I lived in. But the world will be a different place, because I did something so mind bafflingly eccentric that my ruins have become a tourist attraction.

I am so in for this. I am planning on visiting the Tartan Museum soon, as my aunt and uncle live very close by Even if I don't win, I'm probably gonna end up with one of those kilts in the next year or so ;)
