How old you are and how many birthdays you've had are not always the same thing.
If there is such a thing as "too old" for a kilt of any kind I think you're quite a way from it yet. And if any of those young whippersnappers give you a hard time about it you can always shake your cane at them and tell them to get off your lawn.

You only get old when you stop being young. And from what I know of you from this forum... you, sir, are still quite young
Get it. Wear it. Love it. Just remember to take pics

Well - I don't know -
could you hoist it up a bit so as to uncover your knees?
then I'd be able to give an opinion -
All these shy fellows who hide their knees - it really is a shame.

Are you too old to wear a UK?
Two quick ways to check:
1. Do you have a pulse?
2. Are you drawing breath?
If the answer to either question is "yes," you are not too old!

Nonsense, Ron, no man is ever too old to wear a Utilikilt.
I'm only seven years younger than you and I proudly wear that Navy Blue Mocker Utilikilt which you sold to me a few years ago.

Last year when I bought my bleach splashed denim mini kilt (seventeen inch length) I bought it as a novelty item for my collection as I thought I was too old to wear it. Yet after I had worn it once and received a favourable response, I went on to wear it frequently last summer and this summer and I have had lots of young and not so young ladies telling me that I look good in it.

Ron, you're an old, dry, long haired hippie geezer, why would you care?
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…
Yes, I have squirrels in my brain…

UK's aren't about age. They're about attitude. As long as you got the 'tude, the chronology don't matter.

Ron,
I've never seen you look anything but confident and happy in your pix. You're only too old for the Utilikilt IF you THINK you are.
The question IS, because you've asked the question "are you too old", are you too old?
You beat me to it. That's exactly what I thought, too.

An then there is that, too!! I wouldn't have put it in quite that way though.
So the question, then, is- why do I not have my own UK? The answer is not that I'm too olde, or too fat, or too what-have-you. The answer is that with Amerikilts being one set price for every size, and that price being less that half of what an equivelant UK would cost me, I'm simply too cheap! I always recommend Amerikilt to anyone asking me about modern kilts.
