For a sporran I strongly urge you look into McRostie. Jock Scot brought that to our attention and I got one that is in a color called Dark Havana. Wow! Great quality and durability. Several sensible colors available, with or without tassles. The price is worth it - a little over $100 delivered. You may never need another!

Concerning the hose - there are lots of colors in lots of prices. Do a search here. Don't forget, if you are wearing those boots, that there are hose tops. I have some originals from 1940s I got at What Price Glory.

Ah, well; hose tops are the uppers that allow your leg to be warm but not have feet. You wear boot socks of your choosing and wear them out while keeping the uppers pristine - unless you walk in brambles a lot but that's another thing. You can google it. You can search the term on ebay. Check out these:

Sorry the latter two have no pictures but I can assure you I got the last one - cheap, wool, khaki and I love them. WPG stuff is good.

    They also have these:

I have a pair and have worn them numerous times. I will get more when these wear out.

On the subject of hose tops, you can look at www.flamingokilts.biz, as well. Sydnie will knit tops for your specific tartan. I have 2 pairs from her and 2 from Big Mikey on this forum. They can really spice up an outfit! Look no further than the picture of the X Marks splash at the top of the website! Someone in that picture is wearing blue and white hose tops!
