Well the wind hasnt slowed any(here) since my last post. I wore my Stillwater Standard yesterday and went for a walk with the kids. Like everyone has said, straight "normal" wind isnt a problem even with a very light weight tartan. Its the between cars, around buildings and going into doors area which is scary! I should have narrowed my first post to specifically address those areas. When we got back from our walk, fixin to go into the house, my pleats tickled the back of my head and my sister had a very surprised look on her face(thank God for the heavy sporran).Ha!
I guess those areas are just bad areas which we will always have to very vigilant in. I noticed that, again in normal wind, the light weight Stillwater behaved no differently than my 16oz. 8 yarder. In my mind, wind is the ONLY negative to kilts. I guess its my "Big Bad Wolf" which I shall have to conquer.
    Somebody ought to.

Depending on the temperature, I'll wear either a 5-yard or 8-yard knife-pleated kilt - both made of 16 oz wool. I haven't noticed much difference between them which makes me think it's the weight of the fabric that makes a difference.

I have come up with a simple solution to the problem. I went to the Colorado Railway Museum yesterday, kids all over the place, and threat of high winds. I wore a pair of bright red boxers that say Cute Caboose on the butt. Problem solved! Don't thank me.

Another option is valentine's boxers with bright red hearts all over them.....

Truth be told, I have a rather large collection of Sponge Bob Squarepants boxers.

Ron has it figured. Don't worry excessively. Women don't. Of course, they generally wear underwear, but I do too. I'm not Scottish or a member of a highland regiment.
