Looking good. As above but hate to say it, not white hose. Navy or lovat blue would go with your kilt. You could also try Jocking your hat. Worked on my recent new balmoral.

My two cents: (1) one hose is a touch lower than the other. Making them even will make you look even better than you already do.
    (2) second it looks like the kilt is shifted to your left. The center stripe on the tartan should be lined up with your belly button and the center of the sporran centered on that stripe along with your belt buckle.
Along with the other suggestions you'll look top notch. You already look good on your first go so your on your way to being a sad depraved broke kilt-a-holic like the rest of us but your look good at it.
Let YOUR utterance be always with graciousness, seasoned with salt, so as to know how you ought to give an answer to each one.

If I may, I would suggest that you wear the Balmoral slightly lower on your head. You seem to have it pushed way back so it's barely sitting on the top/back of your head. A Balmoral should be worn more to the front.

See page 5 of Jock's thread (scroll about halfway down) for pictures of how he wears it. If you're not "Jocking" your Balmoral, it won't flop the way his does, but at least you can see the positioning on his head.

Hi, super8 – not bad at all for a first attempt.
Regarding flashes, practices vary, since some regiments require them to be at 45° from the front of the leg (middle of the shinbone), while others prefer them slightly further forward (but not right in front). But you are well advised to move them a bit forward from where your picture shows them.
Your balmoral will certainly benefit from a bit of “jocking” – let us know how this goes.
Getting into kilt wearing can be tricky when you don’t have all the goodies – when my first kilt arrived early this year I had to wear tartan flashes at first, not because I didn’t have flashes in other colours, but because in my Sunday best I didn’t have a red tie to match my red flashes.
But plain flashes are preferable to tartan, and there are other varieties, too.
And with a ghillie shirt you don’t need a tie.
    Regards,
    Mike

Good job and don't worry over time and you will add plenty of hose, flashes, and other accessories.
