Its on the Navajo reservation, at a scenic view pullout. So not for traffic. Must be to keep folks like me from clambering over...but no warning signs or notices of prosecution. If you screw up on the other side you're punished well enough upon the end of your freefall.
For a great read with many stories of such stupidity read Death in the Grand Canyon.

Hazards of wearing a kilt
Hmmm... probably been done before, but it might be a fun thread to hear different experiences on the "hazards" of being kilted.

Most of the guardrails with signage that I've encountered around here are protecting the area behind it (often far behind it). Usually it involves an endangered/rare species of plant that woud be obliterated by a lot of foot traffic. (There are a couple hundred unique species in the hills of Eastern Kentucky, not all of which are protected like this.)

Was more along the lines of "Yikes" followed by some creative swearing, some of which would have offended men of the cloth had they been within earshot.

That's why I wear a "tab collar." The white insert comes out real fast for occasions like that.

Thanks Ron, being only a "book learned Spanish speaker" (and not really fluent at that), I enjoy hearing about how true speakers actually use the language.

Well, "cajones" is usually used when talking about having courage. "Huevos" is usually used when talking about body parts.
