Is Freedom Kilts still making that VERY long tailed shirt to wear with kilts?

Scary thing about silk. You never know when it is about to reach the end of it's life, until it happens, which is always the worst possible moment, and when they go... they GO!

Yup, yup, yup YUP!! hahahhahh. It's a beautiful fabric, but takes some getting used to (I never did... good stuff, that silk). Got some silk bedsheets once. I think the wife was glad when those finally blew up. (but darn if those weren't almost better than flannel in the winter)

The weather is quite warm here in Scotland just now, could change in the next few hours, you just never know with our weather but I have noticed that wearing the lycra underskirt makes the kilt that wee bit cooler to wear in these hot days

If anyone is wondering what Riverkilt was referring to a few posts back here is a photo of a real kilt shirt.

We still have a couple left but do not produce them anymore. They were not cost effective do to being complelty custom made.
On the other hand, what I tell my customers is:
Take one used T-Shirt. Cut if off just under the armholes.
Throw away the top or use it as scrub rags.
Take the bottom tube and sew in a length of elastic. Viola - Underkilt.
Total cost - 1 used t-shirt, $.95 for elastic, 1 hour with needle and thread or 10 min with a sewing machine.

I wear the kilt because: Swish + Swagger = Swoon.

So a new question is created - is anything worn under the kilt shirt?

I wear lycra compression shorts. Get them at any sporting goods store. Doesn't feel like I'm wearing anything at all.

Well, so much for J'Dez and their underkilts. My email to them bounced back unaswered for two days. The email machines were still gonna try for two more days - optimistic. Wonder why folks leave their website up if they're not open for business....?

I just called the number at the bottom of the screen in the earlier link to J'Dez. I got a recorded message that said, "You have reached Jane Doe*. This is not J'Dez. If you're calling for J'Dez, don't leave a message. This is not J'Dez. If you're calling for Jane Doe, leave a message."
It does seem, in fact, that J'Dez is no longer in business. Furthermore, it seems that Jane is rather tired of answering calls for them. I would note that the last copyright date on the J'Dez website is 2005.

Nothing. Being mildly allergic to wool, I've had one for years. Had to shorten it a bit if I remember correctly (possibly to remove a lacy fringe) and recently had to take it in as the elastic is not what it used to be! Can be washed and dried overnight - ideal.
No longer available from Littlewoods but M&S do a similar thing 2 for £12 product code T322085 2 Pack Knee length waist slips in a selection of lengths and waist sizes. I have no connection to M&S!
If you are going to do it, do it in a kilt!
