The WI Highland Games are coming up this weekend! I know at least one other X-Marker will be there - as WARPIPER will be playing with the Steel Bonnets. I'm hoping our Michael Flemming will be there as well this year (not to mention of his Highland Lemonade... [hint]).

It's a great weekend of sport, drink and good company, you should try and make it in.

HERE'S the link. I usually only make it on Saturday, but this being a 3-day weekend I may try & press my luck for Sat-Sun.

I know, I'd love to go watch them, but I work Fri, Sat & Sunday. Right now, this time of year I work 7 days a week. I do have a good friend of mine that will be at the games selling his necklaces, very cool, stainless, can be adorned with gems as well, his name's Kelly, if you see him tell him Wade says hi!

I'm a big fan of 5 Vegas series A, Partagas black, Rocky Patel Vintage 92 and Edge Maduros, El Mejor Espressos and Emeralds, and Graycliff 666. I don't have a good enough palate to appreciate anything much more expensive so CI is perfect for me. For the real cheap stuff, I don't mind Pirates Gold when I get them on bargains.

Mickey, I have a box of 5 Vegas Serie A that I've had for several years in my humidor, I'll never smoke them, I'll get them to you at a good price if you're interested.

Well... with the exception of the big names. Habanos S.A. still rigs the price and when I buy, it's from countries that tax tobacco more than here. For awhile I had a friend buying 8 dollar serie d no 4's from Spain, but not any more...

And fyi... I assumed you were from FL from your userid. Dont know if I'll find my way to WI any time soon.

For my "everyday" smoke I like a little cigar I discovered on a motorcycle trip to Luckenbach. They are called La Aurora Principes and they cost about 80 cents a stick. Medium sized cigars, but, big on taste. For my "good stuff," I smoke anything Rocky Patel. But, I especially like his Fifteenth Anniversary release. I also like CAO MX-2 and my Cohibas that an old friend brings me from his business trips abroad.

    Long Ashes

I've been smoking cigars for nearly thirty years. I started off like most by smoking your typical machine made like A&C. As I became a little more knowledgeable I discovered the true pleasure of quality handmades. I have smoked a wide variety from Arturo Fuente, RyJ, Macanudo, Partagas, Excalibur and the list goes on. However, I have recently discovered Acid and in particular the Acid Blue Kuba Kuba (5.00x54). This is absolutely an exquisite cigar. I would recommend this to anyone. They are not inexpensive. They are sold in boxes of 24. I would suggest that you try a 5 pack available from JR cigar. A trip to their store in either Burlington or Statesville, NC is a trip to cigar heaven.

My regular smokes are Licenciados, Butera, Vega Fina and La Gloria Cubana. For my south of Key West cigars I like Bolivar(the King of the Cuban cigar) ,Partagas, the Romeo Y Julieta Churchill Tubo (I like the cedar notes the tube gives), Montecristo and Diplomaticos.
It is with unmitigated passion that I hate Cohiba, I would rather smoke a White Owl.
