I agree Jimmy , Martin Johnson is a misery guts and clearly is no where near as good a coach as Clive Woodward although he was miserable too. MJ was a thug when he played and his persona is no better now. Must admit although I was born in England I have half Welsh parentage so I will be forlornly be cheering on the boys from the valleys. Also the celt in me will be behind scotland for every match unless they meet wales in the final and then I will have a half for each, as long as wales eventually win.
The only slight issue is that there are 3 southern hemisphere sides who will no doubt have something to say about a home nation win and not forgetting Argentina who finished 3rd at the last world cup.
Sorry everyone from USA, Canada, Japan etc... but it was nice for you to take part. :-)
Guess i will be late for work for the next few weeks.

The boys from the valleys have to get past THE BOKKE first.

It would be great if teams like Wales, Scotland or Ireland contested the final

No one thought the Boks would win in 95 either. If the results were already set, there would be no reason to PLAY THE GAME! ;-) Don't discount the dark horse. They may surprise you.
France, for instance is ranked 4th in the world and have been runners-up twice in the history of the tournament.

Just joshing with you CDNsushi, always good to drum up a little bit of friendly competitiveness (if thats a real word). Just watched wales nearly turn over the Bokke, so close but no cigar. Great competition and always throws up a drama or three.
kind regards

Saw the Wales/South Africa game, very good match. USA/Ireland was pretty good too. USA was pretty solid against a shaky Ireland.
Rugby World Cup is nice, but it doesn't compare with the Quidditch World Cup.....

Re: 2011 Rugby World Cup!
I watched the Samoa v Namibia game and it looks as though wales have got another tough match to come. Those samoans can certainly tackle.
Congrats to the beardos of Canada. Great performance against Tonga.
I hope Martin Johnson hasnt unpacked yet.
