Looking good Jamie.
A Tewkesbury kilt is on my wish list.

Re: New Tewksbury Heatherfield tartan kilt
Thats one winner of a cilt/kilt Jamie. Beautiful tartan. My wish list is to have a box pleat or double box pleat from Lady Crystal (in a tweed) and another welsh tartan cilt from Barb. One day soon I will get there. Cubase just got in the way recently.

Re: New Tewksbury Heatherfield tartan kilt
Very nice - especially love the tartan paired up with the purple Lewis hose! Well done, Rex!
Sidenote - My first Tewksbury kilt order is imminent, in Macpherson Reproduction colours from Dalgliesh. I have been conversing with Barb lately, via e-mail, and she is so very kind, professional, and attentive to my details and specifications. I simply cannot wait to see her 'kilt-making magic' in my new kilt!
Cheers,

Barb is great to work with (and has a great sense of humor when you clearly don't understand how to take a measurement! Definately worth the wait to be in her queue.
The kilt was field tested yesterday at my children's Scottish Country Dance class and then later my own SCD class. The beautiful tartan and quality of the construction were complimented many times. I great enjoyed explaining to one of the Mom's at the kid's class about the hand stitching and how it was virtually invisible along the pleats.
For 6 yards of material it seems very substantial. The only other kilt that I have with a similiar feel to how this one fits and wears is my military box pleated kilt from my friend Richard (way2fractious). Which isn't surprising as he has taken several kilt making courses from Barb's partner-in-crime Elsie.
Cheers
