Never Thought I'd Be Posting On The DIY Forum
When my 5 yard wool USA Kilt arrived Rocky was kind enough to toss in the remanent material. Its 16 ounce Lochcarron Strome in the Cameron Modern tartan. Good stuff.
I've been looking at the remanent and finally decided that "MAYBE" I can turn it into a tartan scarf.....maybe. Read up on the threads about ripping wool fabric. Looked at a couple wool scarfs that my hand sewn kiltmaker had made with remanents of other tartans. Figured it was worth the shot.

This is the remanent before I attacked it.

This is the finished tartan scarf after ripping it and putting some fringe on. Still have some fringe work to even out but the scary part - the ripping - is over and I'm kinda proud of myself. Me.....a DIY guy.....amazing.
Thanks for tossing in that "bait" Rocky.
