Is this the one, Kyle? Interesting bridge this one, although I think its not a favourite of mine. It has massive salt stalagtites under its main arches not shown in this pic, those combined with black lichen growing on several columns makes this somehow "evil" in my mind.

Two more: the eary 18C packhorse bridge over the Dulnain

and a typical view of the Tay Rail Bridge from the south shore. The piling stubs are all that remain of the first bridge that collapsed in 1879 with the loss of 90 lives

Re: Bridges of Scotland
Thank you all, this has been an interesting thread, and thank you for the bridge names and descriptions, as well.
I tried to ask my inner curmudgeon before posting, but he sprayed me with the garden hose…

That it is, but to make it fit in this thread, I'll point out that it has a bridge attached.

So here's a picture of the "road" bridge...

I especially like this one because my very first experience with driving in Scotland involved
crossing this bridge,
at rush hour,
from the (ahem) wrong side of the car,
shifting with my left hand,
driving on the "other" side of the road
-- with the fog and everything.
Most incredible and a favored memory...

For me, that was the hardest thing to get used to. Driving on the 'wrong' side of the road wasn't a problem at all.
