Wow Jack, that is a massive sporran!

That may be, but again, Kate Macpherson only creates sporrans from donated or roadkill animals from the Scottish Highlands. And Kate does not use simply the pelts, but the entire animal - she is an expert in proper taxidermy, and deep freezes the animal entirely first, in order to kill all bacteria and 'bugs.' Most of Kate Macpherson's sporrans arrive with their appropriate licence as well. I'll scan my licence and upload it to the forum, as an example.

As mentioned above, you might want to consider Thorfinn Custom Sporrans. Turpin is a member here and does great work with fur and full-mask sporrans. He will make the sporran to your specifications. Here's one of his,
Animo non astutia

Cheers,
I understand the source of Kate's material.
I was stating my surprise at a potential "cull" of a protected species and participating in some conjecture at the eventual use of the culled.

I think the fluffy fur makes it look larger than it is.

To be fare Scott I doubt they would go to the RRoS as they don't use anything other than Horse hair sporrans now. If a cull goes ahead then the carcases would probably be burned as badgers here are supposed to carry bovine TB! But that's another debate all to it's self.
Kate's sporrans look very nice but I do think that the body of the sporran look's a bit thin not enough fur.

I have to admit- That is a very fine sporran.
I may have missed this bit earlier, but do her creations have a decent ammount of storage space/can you get your hand into them?
