Go for it! You will not be sorry!
Just be aware that I had some issues with specifying my measurements when ordering due to the way Scotweb's ordering system for them was at that time. Not sure if they have changed it since then, but I would advise you to specify your measurements as a comment when placing your order.

I have hose just like the ones you're wearing!
If I may ask, what exactly garnered you such a coveted invitation? Yes, you're quite handsome in your kilt, but surely that wasn't the only reason. Or did I just miss the other thread? Apologies if that's the case.

The hose are quite fantastic, don't you agree?
I was wondering the very same thing for quite some time myself... I coordinated the organisation of an event which my company held in cooperation with the British Norwegian Chamber of Commerce at the British Embassy a few weeks prior to the garden party, so their General Manager was kind enough to secure me an invitation based on that business. I shall need to continue to keep in touch with the BNCC in the future..!

Great photo and looks as if you were well dressed for both the event and the weather!
Those hose look a lot like the Boise pattern which is available at Ravelry, in case you (or someone you know) want to try making them yourself.

Thank you!
The pattern does seem to be very close indeed. If only I knew how to knit I would give it a go, but alas, I must still purchase mine from someone more qualified.

Those hose look remarkably similar to the "Aran Hand Knit Hose" for sale at USA Kilts as well, I have a pair of the Bottle Green ones.
Have fun and throw far. In that order, too. - o1d_dude

I believe that they are one and the same, Joshua.
