I like the idea of the Kenmore doublet with a stand collar, something I've not seen in actual pictures before. (pg 17)
ith:
I have a velvet Kenmore with a stand up collar by Anderson's dated 1958(1 year older than myself and in infinitely better shape), I will try and get a few pic's of it on here . It is obvious when you put it on how well constructed it is. It still looks beautiful. Unfortunately it is so warm that it can only be worn in the fall and winter. Well made bespoke goods as you especially know are worth the investment, as long as they are cared for they will last!
Thanks for taking the time to do this so that we all can enjoy reading it. It was a most interesting read. And has already been noted by others, the kilt drawers bit makes me feel better also.

Very interesting, Richard. Thanks for sharing it here.
After a previous discussion, I was surprised to see a hunting-type sporran in a catalog from that time period.
It's nice to see a few pictures of men wearing evening ghillie brogues with buckles, as well as the close up of them. Do any of your other catalogues depict this style of shoe? I ask because this is how I have my ghillie brogues set up, but with short laces...
