One of the BDU Riggers belts (@ 2'' wide) should work. Or a PVC Tactical belt with the sliding buckle.

Here is where I am now.
The divers adjusting buckle on the nylon web with hangers and key loop on the Sterling USAK:

And both belts - the nylon web and 2 inch polyester seatbelt belt with nylon buckle and 1 inch seatbelt poly for the hangers: ( when I get to it )

I will probably order some 2 inch seatbelt poly from the same company to get the same weave and patina as the 1 inch straping.

Either one of these belts is strong enough to use as a tow strap for another boat - no bets on the buckle strength
I do carry a tow strap in my little 15 foot 50 year old aluminum ( before they started making them out of beer cans )boat. At least once a year I am towing much bigger stranded 250 dead horsepower "fishing" boats in with my 6 horse outboard motor. Funny sight - for me.
Knock on wood - I've always made it back under my own power.

Pants is only a present tense verb here. I once panted, but it's all cool now.
