Greetings from Lebanon County. Welcome to the Rabble.
"The Highland dress is essentially a 'free' dress, -- that is to say, a man's taste and circumstances must alone be permitted to decide when and where and how he should wear it... I presume to dictate to no man what he shall eat or drink or wherewithal he shall be clothed." -- The Hon. Stuart Ruaidri Erskine, The Kilt & How to Wear It, 1901.

Well, James, not only is your name one shared with kings, but it has a special Scottish flavour to it.
In Hebrew, the name was Ya’acov. In Greek that became Iacobos, and in Latin Jacobus. In Italian it is usually Giacopo, but in some dialects it is Giacomo. That form found its way to Scotland as James, and only afterward was adopted in England, where it became more popular than the earlier form Jacob.
And of course it was also taken into Gaelic as Seumas or Hamish.
    Regards,
    Mike
