That's a really handsome tartan. How are you having it pleated?

    Hi dbh,

at the moment (and planned) - a first "quick shot" attempt was made 'to sett' by Paul.

But Paul will do some trials in different versions (also 'stripe')... We'll see.

    Hi Folks,

    another update:

Paul informed me, that the kilt was posted from UK to Germany. Here's a short shot and another one showing the pleating to stripe. Quite unusual, but I like it !!

    Some data:

    ordered: 15.10.12
tartan weaved: 28.11.12 (D.C. Dagliesh special weave 15 oz)
    kilt dispatched : 16.01.13

In my opinion superfast because D.C. Dagliesh only took 6 weeks for the special weave.

Now I-m awaiting the kilt the next 2-3 days ... exciting ..... If it will arrive in time, I'll wear it on Burns Supper on 25th Jan in D-Aschaffenburg.

    I'll keep you updated ....

So far a perfect job by Paul , always kept me updated with pics, info etc.

    Very nice!

I think that is a handsome tartan. It really lends itself well to pleating to that stripe. Often times, a tartan will lose much of the color representation of the tartan when pleated to the stripe, making too much of contrast for my liking. The pleating chosen seems to have retained all of the tartans colors, while at the same time, having a different look than pleating to the sett.

Well done to you and Paul Henry !

Very elegant outfit. Handsome kilt (love the tartan, by the way - congratulations!). Have a great time at the Burns Dinner.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
