The banner depicts the chief's coat of arms on a rectangle and is only displayed when the chief is present to denote his physical location. It may be carried in a procession or flown from a flagstaff at the chief's tent (or anywhere else the chief may be). Some chiefs permit their banner to be displayed
inside a clan tent as a way of showing their arms -- when this occurs the banner should be displayed as a wall hanging, and
