Welcome from the state of Mississippi, USA. You should try wearing a kilt in the "South". The only time I see anyone wear a kilt is in September at the Jackson MS Celtic Fest. I wear mine when and where I like. Have yet to have any bad comments and the ladies love it.

Hi and welcome from Oxfordshire. I'm another ex-pat Scot living even further south than you are and I am kilted nearly every day of the year. The natives round here have just got used to seeing me and they still seem to be very friendly, so don't put off your kilt wearing just because of thae English!
