Not wishing to influence things but wouldn't Friday be quite awkward for most working folk? I could manage all day Friday but I'd have to come on my own and travel down Thursday.

Chances are it will be the Sat for the reasons you have mentioned. Starting around 4pm and finishing about midnight.
