In Scotland the kilt is generally worn for celebrations, and graduations across the nation are a fine excuse for a flurry of kilts every year. Flurry is possibly not the best collective noun for kilt wearers but you get the idea.

Thanks guys, thank you for the advise, through all my research over the past 6 or so years i was lead to believe the same thing to wear it when ever, when ever as well...... but i wanted to be sure, I figure that y'all would be a little more experienced than I. And thanks fo all of your welcomes.

I'm with the rest, wear your kilt proudly. Be prepared for extra attention.

BTW, did you know there's a history of affinity between the Seminoles of Florida and the kilted Highland Scots who came with General Oglethorpe to colonize Georgia? The Seminole men also wore a draped un-bifurcated garment; they recognized the kilt and the Scottish Clan system as similar to their own warrior culture.

I hope have choose to wear your kilt to celebrate you graduation. My grandson is a High School Senior, who wears his kilt to his swim meets. The coach insists the young men all dress well to show respect for their own team and their rivals.
