I think you mentioned being originally from Wisconsin...where abouts?
I was born in Stoughton, just south of Madison, and spent the first ten years of my life in and around LaCrosse. Are you familiar with the area?

What I do if a "trouser-wearing-wanna-be-an-alpha-male" is try to have a go at me is, tell him politely but firmly so everyone can hear,"I am very sorry but I am not interested in men the way you are. Although I am flattered, I will have to ask you to flirt with someone else. You are interupting all the attention I was getting from the ladies.". At that point his chances of being an Alpha Male pretty much get flushed down the toilet, along with his pride. I also think the 6'7" height that I have might play a small part!
Thats Great... Gotta try that sometime!

Never grow up Alaskan Celt.
Alaska is a beautiful place, I can see why your vacation has continued so long.

Alaskan Celt,
Fitzsimmons Army Hospital is now closed. However the University of Colorado Health Science Center (old name Colorado General) is building out there and remodeling the facilities to become a world class instructional and functioning hospital. They have some departments out there now. Colfax still has many a watering hole on it, so even after all these years some things never change.
Glad to hear the fond memories of Colfax, and sorry to hear about the length of stay at Fitz, but better yet, glad to hear about your kilted exploits in Fairbanks.

After a few pints it's not really a problem, after a few more pints well then I just don't give a rats **** about the little things. Not giving a $*!t when some dude trys to stand in your face usually makes the whole thing fall apart in his face! So with that being said I am going back to my Drink now, CHEERS!!

Though I have yet to have any real confrontation, I was thinking the other day...
Who is more brave, the person who spends a few minutes heckling a man in a kilt, or the man who wears the kilt ALL DAMN DAY!?!
Not a bad thing to give your audience to think upon. If your real lucky, thinking will just give them a head ache.
