It is Mars - McClef was just saying that it reminded him of different photo, one of the Earth from the Moon.

I know it will come as a shock to regular readers, but I was just kidding. Or, perhaps I was referring to the camera's host planet.
And, I do need glasses - filled with single malt. Slainte!
Thanks for posting the pic, Barb.

Barb, do you still have that pic of you piping the two 'vehicles' (I can't remember what they are called) home? I, for one, would love to see that again.

Here it is. For those of you who haven't seen it before, the photo was taken during the 2010 NASA Desert RATS (Research and Technology Studies) test of geological field operations of NASA's next generation space exploration vehicle in the San Francisco Volcanic Field north of Flagstaff, Arizona. The week-long test was designed to simulate how astronauts on the Moon would travel in rovers, conduct field work along traverses, and communicate with a science team on Earth. I was part of the science team in the "back room", and I was the imaging lead in charge of remote imagery for one of the rovers. At the end of the week-long test, I had the incomparable experience of piping the rovers back to base camp.

Barb: You don't happen to have the audio associated with that picture, do you? We would love to hear it! It's not "Mathair to Bairns" is it?

Thanks, Barb. Now saved. That's one of the most emotive pics on this forum, given that it is not about kilts but who we are and the wide range of things we do in or out of kilts. John's good question: what were you playing?
