You Californians certainly go in big time for your Scottish heritage. I have happy memories of a wonderful visit to California in 2009, stayed with a cousin in Santa Barbara for a week then on to Ventura for the Seaside Games and a few days with a member of my clan society in Los Angeles.
Good to hear you enjoyed yourself while you were over here. It isn't a terrible place to live, if I don't say so myself. I've never actually been to the Seaside Games; however, my family and I might make it out there this year.

Welcome, and I'm jealous... I SO want to learn to play the pipes. I will someday, I've just never gotten around to actually being able to spend the money. Good luck to you.

It's totally worth the investment! Great thing about it is, you can work to pay them off pretty quick with gigs and stuff of that nature. Hopefully you'll get around to it someday.
