For those interested, the resort we are going to is called Ben Lomond, a good scottish name!

Bubba, I'll only be there for a day, so don't get any ideas of catching up!

I've said it before, I'll say it again. Nothing alive can catch up to you, unless you break yer leg skiing and are in the hospital a week or two. Better stay kilted by the fire with a pint.

Graham, you are not a fanatic, you are an ADDICT. There are a few times you need to get out of your kilt, and skiing or snowboarding is one of those times. Don't use age as an excuse either...I started snowboarding at age 54. Just take a lesson, you will start having fun and learn more quickly than without one. Wear a helmet (well...old bones do heal slowly ) Skiing and snowboarding are what makes winter worthwhile....I am looking forward to next winter
I don't have a signature yet, but Donnie has a GREAT signature. Think about it...have FUN! 8) 8)

Nah. Adult beverages, a warm fire and time to read make winter worthwhile. Playing outside in subzero weather is for crazy people.

It might be fun to get out of the kilt for a while. Just think of the feeling when putting it back on.......Ok Sorry I'll go sit at the back

Thanks Northern Celt, you make skiing sound attractive - almost, Bubba's idea sounds better, but we'll see, I might give it a go, Freelander might be right. I've never been a snow person, my idea of fun is diving to 130 feet on some shipwreck.
Come to think of it, I've never done that kilted either!

Now there's a challenge for all you kilt makers out there. Who's going to be the first to market an underwater kilt?
Graham would be your first customer.
Rob (who must learn to stop having these crazy ideas)

I couldn't agree more. It has been alomst 4 year since I have been snowboarding ( I used to go every other day) and I miss it dearly. There are times when pants are more appropriate, and these are one of those times. Just think about how nice it would be to spend aday on the slopes, come home to a hot shower (or better yet a hot tub), get out wrap on a kilt and warm cable knit sweater and head down to the chalet to sip a dram by the fire.
