    Micah - I've been involved in the Clan Buchanan Society International for decades as a Commissioner and member of the Executive Council. Our Clan has no Chief so I suppose the Society is as close as there is to an arbiter of questions like this. And I can say with certainty that it would be very appropriate for you to wear any of the Buchanan tartans as I am certain that you would do it with respect and pride.

    CT, thank you. I imagine that is as close to an official ruling as I could hope for. I undertand the
    Position a lot of people take on wear what you want but that's just not for me. My purpose in wearing
    a kilt is familial pride. Thank you again everyone for your help.
