Family portrait
Hey everyone, my wife wants to get a family portrait done of me, my wife and our Westie MacTavish! Of course I will be kilted. What does the rabble think?
No matter how hard you push the envelop, it will always be stationery!

I'm glad for you, that your wife is on board with this. When we've done family portraits with myself, my wife, and our two children, me wearing the kilt was never even in the discussion!

To be perfectly honest and as you are asking, don't do it. In the future people will look at the picture and see what we see in those Edwardian posed photographs , with the the only thing in the picture that is anywhere near accurate, is the body inside the outfit. Sorry, but you did ask.

One can always get different views from this group. It makes the experience sincere. The photo will document you, wife and pet in history. Think of the future as Jock suggest, but follow your heart for prosperity.

Why not take along a change of clothes and do it both ways?

I think it's a great idea! Go for it! And share it with us, so we can enjoy it, too.
I changed my signature. The old one was too ridiculous.
