Thank you, everyone, for the warm welcome. Sorry it's taken so long to reply. By time my post was approved it was bedtime for me. I'm just on the train home from work now.

Are you planning to enter the Perth kilt run in a great kilt?

I'm planning to do an early-morning trial jog on an upcoming weekend or maybe during the Easter holidays. I think I'll definitely have to wear the top half hanging down or tucked into my belt. I'm enamoured of the great kilt, so even if it's not suitable for the run, it's not a waste. The run isn't until September, so I've got time to come up with something else, even get a casual off-the-rack kind of kilt.

Hi Calum,

Looks good, but you are a brave man being willing to try running in all that fabric! I bet you will be hot! Start training now, because you will have a lot of conditioning to do. Get advice from a pro trainer if you can, it will be worth it in the end. If you end up with a lighter kilt for the run, it will be easy.
