People ask all the time but, it's not really any of their business. Wearing the kilt is a very personal choice and you should wear your kilt however you feel most comfortable doing so and not how others might expect.

Hi Nile,
thank you for all, you are right that underwear is not the point of kilt, but I have to say, it is one of the huge benefits, also for our health ;) And a funny thing, on the notice that came with my new kilt from SWK there´s a few advises for new kilt wearers and one of them is: "Be prepared for the questions about your underwear" So I will just be cool with that ;)
Have fun!

Nazdar z Kanady...
Omlouvám se že nemám dnes moc času (jdu do práce), ale vítám vás a taky bych si moc rád koupil náš krásný tartán...
Stick around! We need more Czechs. :-)

Welcome from Austin TX from another newbie.
My limited experience - 4 kilted outings- has been it's the men who are curious especially my acquaintances. Women have been complimentary and appreciative. I'm following one XMarkers advice and answering, with a smile, "Lipstick." In truth I find the question inappropriate.
Good luck. Let us know how your "metal" & tartan kilts.
